A. Ashokan, is an economist known for his Hair for teaching and research. He has been in the teaching profession for two decades. After his tenure as a faculty in a first grade college in Karnataka, he is currently Selection Grade Lecturer in Economics, Nehru Arts & Science College, Kanhangad, Kerala. His post-graduation is from Mahatma Gandhi University, and M. Phil and PhD from Pondicherry Central University. Most of his papers are related to health economics. He has to his credit more than 20 research papers published in national and international journals of repute and two research projects. He specialises in Health Economics, Medical Anthropology, Tribal Studies and Development Issues.
