About Chemistry Books

Chemistry is a branch of physical science but different from physics that deals with the systematic study of the composition, properties, and activity of various substances and several basic forms of matter. Since new inventions and assumptions add to the functionality of science, the definition of chemistry has changed time to time. Chemistry is closely connected to physics and biology and some texts also define that mathematics is an important tool for the study of chemistry. The central concerns of chemistry are to study the structure, behavior and properties of compounds and elements, and the reactions between the substances and the laws that combine these phenomena into a comprehensive method. Here you can get a wide collection of chemistry books introducing the concepts and principles of chemistry in a logical and progressive manner so that everyone can develop an understanding of the subject as a whole.

Did you know?
The origin of the word "chemistry" is related with the medieval practice of Alchemy that in turn is derived from the Arabic word. Earlier chemists were called as Alchemists and later the suffix- ry was added to the term "chemist" to explain the art of the chemist.
